About Dr Samson Ojo

Dr Samson Ojo is a researcher, author, educator, and healthcare professional working in NHS Quality Improvement. His work sits at the intersection of health, behaviour, human performance, and sustainable living. With a PhD focused on reducing sedentary behaviour in the workplace, Samson’s research explores how modern lifestyles, work environments, and daily habits shape long-term health, productivity, and wellbeing.

His academic work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to the growing evidence base on workplace health and behaviour change.

Alongside his research and professional work, Samson writes books that explore the hidden pressures of modern life. His work examines themes such as burnout, emotional exhaustion, relationships, sitting and inactivity, resilience, and the pursuit of a healthier, more sustainable way of living.

His books include Burnout to Balance, SIT: How Modern Life Is Quietly Killing Us, and The Curse of Loving. Through writing, speaking, and research, he aims to make complex human experiences more understandable, practical, and accessible.

Whether addressing healthcare professionals, organisational leaders, researchers, or everyday readers, Samson’s work is guided by a simple belief: awareness is often the first step towards meaningful change.

In addition to his academic and healthcare improvement work, Samson is an entrepreneur and founder of ventures spanning technology, healthcare, and professional services. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rydex Technologies Ltd and Primewell Integrated Services Ltd, organisations established to support innovation, service delivery, and sustainable solutions in their respective sectors. These experiences provide him with practical insights into leadership, productivity, and the realities of balancing professional ambition with personal wellbeing.
